What's New -

Build Quotes with more flexibility

Inline Editor in the Sales Portal

You can now edit task-level content directly within the quote creation experience. When an Editor field is added to a task and included in a quote, it's accessible right on the quote with its default content pre-loaded. Make your edits, collapse the field to keep things clean, and know that every change carries through to the final generated document without affecting the underlying task template.

Total Weeks and Contingency in Generated Documents

Quote documents can now include an overall Total Weeks value and contingency details, giving clients a clearer picture of scope and timeline directly in the proposal.

Mark from Expense Tasks in Documents

Users can now include the markup value from Expense tasks in the final generated document, ensuring your pricing is fully represented in every proposal you send.

Continuous Visibility into Quote Totals

Total hours and fees now remain visible as you scroll, so you can stay informed while building your quote.

Smarter Template and Global Field Management

Control Which Global Fields Appear on Each Template

Admins can now choose which Global Fields appear on specific Quote Templates. Previously, Global Fields followed an all-or-nothing model appearing on every quote. Now you can tailor each template for different teams, clients, or workflows, hiding fields that aren't relevant and keeping the quoting experience focused.

Global Field Defaults Auto-Apply on New Quotes

When a Global Field has a default value configured, that value is now pre-filled automatically when creating a new quote. Defaults can be adjusted per quote as needed, and any updates to defaults apply to all newly created quotes going forward, saving time and keeping proposals consistent.

More Admin Control

Customize or Recall Quotes at Any Stage, Even After Acceptance

Users with Quotes Admin permissions can now customize or recall a quote at any time — including after it has been moved to an Accepted status. These options are available directly from the Quotes menu and are restricted to authorized admin users only.

Import tasks into Your Library for Faster Setup

Admins can now import tasks directly into the Task Library, making it faster to build and maintain your standard scope library.

Additional Improvements

  • Required field indicators — Asterisks now mark required Global Fields on quotes, reducing missed fields during completion.

  • Quote ID on the customization screen — Easily reference the Quote ID while customizing a quote for better traceability.

  • Richer Quote List columns — New columns show the Quote Template, SOW Template, rate card, and contact used for every quote.

  • Contacts without email addresses — Email is no longer required when creating a contact from a quote, and all contacts are now available in the quoting workflow regardless of whether an email is on file.

  • Instantly view generated documents after creating a quote — After generating a quote, you're taken directly to the finished document for a seamless workflow.

We’re continuing to invest in BigTime Quotes to make scoping and pricing work easier and more powerful. Stay tuned for more updates coming soon!
